Michael Linford is Chief Financial Officer of Affirm, the financial technology platform that works with thousands of merchants to offer consumers “buy now, pay later” plans. The company is one of several lending services in the U.S. transforming the way consumers buy and merchants sell across all verticals, from apparel and electronics to home furniture and fitness equipment.
Founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Max Levchin, Affirm made its public debut in January 2021, and as of February 2022 has more than 11 million users. Select examples of Affirm’s merchant partners include: Walmart, Peloton, VRBO, Expedia, Priceline, Neiman Marcus, and Williams Sonoma. Affirm is also the exclusive partner for Shopify’s Shop Pay Installments in the United States.
