GRO Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
Brazil Potash is attractive because its fully permitted Autazes Project combines 173.0M tonnes of Proven & Probable Reserves, a roughly 23-year mine life, and potential initial output of up to 2.4Mt per year with an estimated post-tax NPV of $2.5B, a 15.8% IRR, and a 5.6-year payback at $420/t MOP. Its outlook is further strengthened by de-risking across technical, regulatory, and social fronts, including 21 construction licenses consolidated in August 2024, 91% of future production already under offtake agreements, and a cost profile of about $86.76/t that supports an estimated 79% gross margin. The stock also benefits from visible financing progress, with roughly $85.8M in cash, a $63.3M equity raise on May 4, 2026, and a broader plan to fund the $2.5B build through non-dilutive partners, $1.8B of debt, and tax incentives.
Bears say
Brazil Potash is fundamentally challenged by a capital-intensive, pre-production model that depends on a successful Final Investment Decision, additional financing, and flawless execution at Autazes before it can generate durable cash flow. Despite offtake agreements for 91% of production and attractive domestic logistics economics of about $53 per ton versus roughly $200 per ton for imports, the company remains highly exposed to potash price volatility, with Brazil CFR Granular MOP recently around $405/t and sales prices about $385 - 390 per ton. Its outlook is further pressured by technical mining risk, dilution risk, regulatory uncertainty in Brazil, and BRL/USD currency mismatch that could weaken project economics and increase repayment risk if dollar debt is used.
