Spot bitcoin ETFs hold actual bitcoin in custody and aim to track its market price, giving investors bitcoin exposure through a regular brokerage account. They differ mainly by sponsor, fees and trading liquidity; the underlying holding is essentially the same. This theme includes only spot funds, not futures-based, leveraged, inverse or options-income products. Fund shares carry bitcoin's price swings plus a small annual fee, and they trade only during market hours.
