Loopring

Loopring is a protocol running on the Ethereum network. It aims to facilitate the building of decentralized exchanges. This protocol is blockchain agnostic, meaning that it’s deployable on any chain with smart contract functionality. Loopring has its own cryptocurrency LRC, which is necessary for the key operations on the protocol.

Loopring claims that the platform will allow exchanges built on its network to avoid slow speeds and high costs through a new type of cryptography that enable Loopring exchanges to complete key computations off-blockchain, thus speeding it up.

Loopring's website brags that it offers "Ethereum's most secure wallet" but also identifies the very risk factor that reportedly enabled the hack.
