Bitcoin Cash is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that aims to become sound global money with fast payments, micro fees, privacy, and high transaction capacity. In the same way that physical money, such as a dollar bill, is handed directly to the person being paid, Bitcoin Cash payments are sent directly from one person to another. As a decentralized cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash requires no trusted third parties and no central bank.

Bitcoin Cash was created in August 2017 as a hard fork of Bitcoin. A hard fork is a software modification that splits a single cryptocurrency into two.

Bitcoin Cash is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that aims to become sound global money with fast payments, micro fees, privacy, and high transaction capacity. As a decentralized cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash requires no trusted third parties and no central bank.

Similar to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash has a hard supply cap of 21 million. 

Bitcoin Cash is more progressive and adaptive to technology upgrades than its more conservative counterpart, Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash implements upgrades on a bi-annual basis.

Litecoin surged by as much as 20% in today's session, as bulls took the token to its highest level since April. The move came prior to the latest consumer sentiment report from the U.S, which rose to a reading of 64.4. Bitcoin cash climbed to its highest point since April 2022.
