Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Cash is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that aims to become sound global money with fast payments, micro fees, privacy, and high transaction capacity. In the same way that physical money, such as a dollar bill, is handed directly to the person being paid, Bitcoin Cash payments are sent directly from one person to another. As a decentralized cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash requires no trusted third parties and no central bank.

Bitcoin Cash was created in August 2017 as a hard fork of Bitcoin. A hard fork is a software modification that splits a single cryptocurrency into two.

Bitcoin Cash is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that aims to become sound global money with fast payments, micro fees, privacy, and high transaction capacity. As a decentralized cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash requires no trusted third parties and no central bank. 

Unlike Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash believes becoming a medium of exchange is a more effective way to become adopted as a form of money, rather than prioritizing status as a store of value.

Similar to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash has a hard supply cap of 21 million. 

Bitcoin Cash is more progressive and adaptive to technology upgrades than its more conservative counterpart, Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash implements upgrades on a bi-annual basis.

Litecoin was down by as much as 5% during Friday's session, as markets reacted to the nonfarm payrolls report from the United States. 187,000 jobs were added to the economy in August, compared to the revised sum of 157,000 in July. Bitcoin cash also slipped, extending recent losses.
