I know some people don’t talk about Bruno (FB).. but the news about $GOOG echoing $AAPL in a similar not a complete identical way when it comes to their privacy restrictions across apps, while Facebook has been getting pressed the most about it (in the news and stock market), let’s talk more about what this could mean more more apps… Android/ Google’s effort is called Privacy Sandbox, but they have more rolling out. What they are referring to is the advertising ID, which is a unique string of characters that identifies the user's device. Or what some call cross-app tracking. The digital IDs in smartphones often help ad-tech companies track and share information about consumers. If you remember $SNAP took a hit as well for similar things. It’s a good bit of apps that use this, but just FB + SNAP. I do expect to hear this tone change for a lot of companies soon. Most in part due to ads and retargeting is another 💰 stream for the app. Tip: Always listen for line items in earnings report when companies talk about revenue - so insightful. While this could impact Bruno, I mean FB, $10B in sales just via Apple; it legit cleared a hunk from their Market Cap with this Android announcement .. imagine the other apps it could impact — Publicly traded and Private companies.
