#HealthyHabits So if you were to actually be able to take a peak into my Fidelity investments these 4 ETFs would make up 70% of my individual brokerage account in Fidelity and $VT makes up 100% of my HSA. Today's #HealthyHabits I want to build on understanding ETFs and how they can be helpful. By now you all know I am a #DefensiveInvestor who is low risk and wants to generate passive income w/ minimal due dilligence or active management ... I usually settle for tracking the S&P500 w/ the $VOO or a similar Fidelity fund but I do also take some positions in #SectorETFs to try to maybe outperform "the market." Sectors can outperform the market typically for a short period and so you hear about people rotating in and out of sectors trying to "beat the market." $VT : This one tracks the major US companies w/ a side of some international exposure. We live in the US so by investing in only US companies you are putting all your eggs in one basket. This is my way of getting exposure to China w/o holding an individual stock. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VT/holdings?p=VT $FDIS : I took this position after the COVID shutdown. I felt that these companies were going to do well especially after the stimulus checks. This tracked consumer spending w/ $AMZN being by far the largest holding, but I also like it due to a considerable exposure to $TSLA (was good in 2020), and then the nice staples like $HD , $NKE , and $MCD . I still think one is a good one and don't plan to rotate out. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/FDIS/holdings?p=FDIS $FTEC : I took this position also after COVID shutdown and Tech was hot in 2020 then puttered out then back on. I have a hard time thinking that tech will slow down while we are still dealing w/ COVID. The top 3 in this holdings is $AAPL , $MSFT , and $NVDA ... but you even get $V and $MA w/ this one. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/FTEC/holdings?p=FTEC $FCOM : This was one of my later additions and a third of my position in the other 3 above. I felt like I was missing out on $FB , $GOOGL / $GOOG , and $DIS and so I found this fund. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/FCOM/holdings?p=FCOM P.S.: I love Fidelity and their low expense ratio ETFs. Hope this helps but be sure to check out the other people hard at work building content on Public - If you don't know what a sector is please check out the hard work that @Xander882214 put into his two part post - here is part 2 and the link to 1 is in it - https://public.com/posts/YIKeiXOY1cRSAhbc6gXFRZ75WJPtspEp (updated link).
