🇩🇪 Germany: ⭐️ADR All-stars 🌟 When looking to invest in German Stocks, you will come across the initials “AG” and “SE”. 🇩🇪 Aktiengesellschaft- AG is an abbreviation of Aktiengesellschaft, which is a German term for a stock corporation or public limited company. 🇪🇺  Societas Europaea - “SE" is a Latin abbreviation for “Societas Europaea” which means European Company. Like the German stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft, AG), the “SE” companies are commercial companies whose equity is devised into shares. AG companies are registered in and operate within German law, while SE companies are European companies and therefore operate under a supra-national form a law which is based on European Community law. ✍️ In plain English, 👉 AG signifies that a company is of German origin, which is a member of the European Union (EU). The SE structure reflects that the company is a multinational European corporation and gives the company the flexibility to operate anywhere within the EU. [direct quote] ➡️ “Germany is the most open economy among the G7 states. The foreign trade quota is currently 84.4 percent – that’s the sum of imports and exports in relation to GDP. In comparison, the USA quota is 26.7 percent.” [direct quote] ➡️ “The most important economic centers in Germany are the metropolitan regions of Munich (high tech 💻), Stuttgart (vehicle construction 🦺), Rhine-Neckar (chemicals, IT 💾), Frankfurt am Main (finance 🏦) Hamburg (port, aircraft construction, media✈️). Investors should consider the investment objectives and unique risk profile of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) carefully before investing. ETFs are subject to risks similar to those of other diversified portfolios. Leveraged and Inverse ETFs may not be suitable for all investors and may increase exposure to volatility through the use of leverage, short sales of securities, derivatives and other complex investment strategies.

Although ETFs are designed to provide investment results that generally correspond to the performance of their respective underlying indices, they may not be able to exactly replicate the performance of the indices because of expenses and other factors. A prospectus contains this and other information about the ETF and should be read carefully before investing. Customers should obtain prospectuses from issuers and/or their third party agents who distribute and make prospectuses available for review. ETFs are required to distribute portfolio gains to shareholders at year-end. These gains may be generated by portfolio rebalancing or the need to meet diversification requirements. ETF trading will also generate tax consequences. Additional regulatory guidance on Exchange Traded Products can be found by clicking here.
