The home goods retailer said in securities filings that if it can’t complete the complex transaction, it would “likely file for bankruptcy protection.” The chain has said in recent weeks that it had defaulted on a loan aSee more

Invested in Best Buy
$BBY has been able to capitalize on everything becoming “Smart” as all things become tech Best Buy becomes a place to buy more and more of the products needed in the home and your personal lives. I believe the Total Tech Membership #bestbuy has implemented will lead to people buying more of their products from #BBY vs direct from the manufacturer due to the benefits surrounding the membership. As far as fundamentally the multiple on earnings at 9.7x is cheap especially for my portfolio filled with mostly growth prospects at much higher multiples. I also like the buybacks and dividends the company provides. #retail #tech

Added Citi Trends to Watchlist
Citi Trends $CTRN looks interesting. Very cheap stock at <10x earnings when you take out the cash (no debt either). The company is a discount retailer that markets toward minority communities. Of course Wall Street mostly ignores Citi Trends even though it has ~600 stores. Looks like the market is betting that customers will go away because they spent all their stimmy money…or something. Stock is heavily shorted. Yeah, the company was mismanaged for a long time. But an ‘activist’ investor put up a stink and eventually they kicked out the old execs and brought in new management to clean house. The company is hoping to grow earnings at 20% a year (big if it happens). In the meantime, management is buying back tons of stock. Still researching.
