๐Ÿ‘€ Bad news for the economy is now bad news on Wall Street - more turmoil could be on the horizon for the stock marketโ€ฆ The United States hit its borrowing cap on Thursday, forcing the Treasury Department to start taking โ€œextraordinary measuresโ€ to keep the government open. If an agreement isnโ€™t reached, markets could plunge (like they did the last time this happened in 2011) and the United Statesโ€ฆSee more

Sold Tata MotorsInvested for 729 days
Made25.44%
Who likes to be told what to do? ๐Ÿซค Itโ€™s annoying. In this situation though, I have no choice ๐Ÿ™„. After 18 years, Tata Motors ( $TTM ) has voluntarily decided to delist its American Depositary Shares (ADS) from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). These are the shares available for US ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ retail investors to buy. Tata Motors ( $TTM ) will submit official documents to start the delisting process from the NYSE this Friday, January 13, 2023 ๐Ÿ—“. The proposed last day for the Tata Motors American Depositary Shares (ADS) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is Monday, January 23, 2023. When the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) delisting is completed, Tata Motors shares will only be available to purchase on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the India Stock Exchange (ISE). Tata Motors ( $TTM ) owns the Jaguar Land Rover brand ๐Ÿ†. Personally, I like Tata Motors ( $TTM ). It was a long-term Emerging Markets investment for me. I didn't want to sell ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. They have future plans to come up with an affordable electric fleet of cars ๐Ÿš˜ , buses ๐Ÿš, trucks ๐Ÿ›ป, etc. that would be beneficial to India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ and elsewhere. Plus, Tata is a well-known multichannel brand in India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ . I am hoping they reconsider and relist the brand on the NYSE in the future ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ. #emergingmarkets #tatamotors #tata #nyse #autobrands #india India #internationalmarkets โš ๏ธ Not financial advice. ๐Ÿ“š Interesting Fact! Re: S&P 500 CFDs and ETFs ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿ’Ž From my posts, you see me reference the chart of #SPX500USD a lot, however do you actually know what this is? ๐Ÿ’Ž Have you noticed that you cannot trade #SPX500USD or invest in this on #Public ? ๐Ÿ’Ž Is #SPX500USD the same as the SPDR S&P 500 trust ( $SPY ), thatโ€™s the question I will be answering. ๐Ÿ’Ž Both of these #financialassets have two things in common. Their commonality lies in the fact that they both #track the performance of the S&P 500 Stock Market index and that ownership is #NOT taken of them. However, there are a few key fundamental differences that exist between the two: ๐Ÿ’Ž #SPX500USD โ€“ Is a Contract for Differences ( #CFD ), meaning that is allows you trade and profit from the price movements in any direction, as to whether you think the price of the underlying asset or security (such as the S&P 500) will rise or fall. These are traded over-the-counter ( #OTC ) through a network of brokers, not on major #exchanges like the #NYSE . You do not take ownership of the underlying asset, however you do pay the broker the #spread-the difference between the ask and bid price, as well as the #swap-interest charged for holding the position past the end of the trading day. CFDs are traded on margin, meaning the broker allows you borrow money to leverage or increase the size of the position(s) you are trading similar to trading in the Foreign Exchange Market ( #Forex ), plus they allow you to take long (buy) or short (sell) positions, without the short-selling rules. Thus, it can be shorted at any time. ๐Ÿ’Ž $SPY (SPDR S&P 500 trust) โ€“ Is an exchange-traded fund ( #eft ) traded on the #NYSE. It is a marketable security, meaning it has a share price that allows it to be easily bought and sold on exchanges throughout the day. ๐Ÿ’Ž Personally, I trade #SPX500USD because of the leverage (margin), ability to amply increase gains (or losses) and trade during the same hours as the #Forex (24/5). On the flip side, I invest in $SPY because of the #dividends and the cost-effectiveness.
