Looking in my bag, I see another website that you may like for your due diligence. This one is especially important for those who like to swing trade stocks. I am often asked what makes some stocks explode higher very quickly or vice versa. The answer is Supply vs. Demand. Let's talk about the Float. The float of a stock is the number of shares that are freely available to be bought and soldSee more

Zoom out…. and picture what kind of legacy you want to leave. What comes to mind? I hope people will remember I treated them kindly, and a smile will come to mind. I want to leave the world better, and pass on a legacy of #financialliteracy #generationalwealthpotential and #opportunity for those I am close to. Life is hard & all have peaks & valleys in our path. I am working towards passing along tSee more

👀 Food for Thought 🤔 💎 Those that purchase crypto on centralized exchanges (CEX) are missing the bigger picture. 💎 Cryptocurrency, like the second part of the word says, is a "currency" (just digital 👾💻🖱️📱). Meaning, in other words, that it is traded and exchanged against other currencies, just like in the foreign exchange (#Forex ).See more

Headwinds vs. Tailwinds 💨 Another set of terms used by CNBC anchors and popular financial analysts or fund managers. 📺 But what do they actually mean and what are they? ⬇️ Well, tailwinds are the positive things that can push a business forward... it is wind blowing from behind you. A headwind is wind coming directly at you, pushing you back, making it harder to move forward. Now there are an uSee more

IF YOU OWN GOOGLE STOCK… READ THIS POST. #Alphabet (Google’s parent company) just did a split! Not an ACTUAL split like Kyle Richards on Real Housewives does after she has a margarita - but a stock split! Companies split their stock when they are thriving & have become too expensive for “Ma & Pop Investors.” (Side note… can we start a petition to make a new term for “Ma & Pop Investors” like liteSee more

Well, it’s Thursday again … how’d this week go for you? (I don’t count Fridays) I’m not sure, but it feels like that day is full of “sell offs”, which seem to skew the true value of your portfolio contents, and the work you’ve put into it. What are your opinions? Want to share your gains? #Goforit #growth See more

#NotAnExpert While I am not a CFP or CPA, I have been investing since 2012 and I have made a lot of mistakes along the way. I have also done a ton of reading and research, and picked up a few tricks here and there. My goal here in the Public app and outside of Public is to help address financial literacy. One thing I want people to remember is that we can learn from each other. Whether it is from aSee more

#ChristmasInSeptember So I don't have kids ... but apparently my Team Lead spreads out her Christmas shopping throughout the year and just slowly builds it up. When I sat down to think about it ... it is probably genius so that she doesn't have to spend a large, lump sum all in a short period of time. I know Public doesn't do custodial accounts but what are y'all getting your loved ones for Christmas? Maybe start a custodial account for your kids and get them $10 slice of $AMZN, $SBUX, $NKE instead of that gift card? P.S.: This wonderful idea is in part due to a post I stumbled upon by @redbunwinsatgmail! So many gift cards go unused and money wasted ... this would grow and compound over time! And here is a link to Fidelity ... only until Public ups their custodial account game - https://www.fidelity.com/open-account/custodial-account #StrawPolls #FinancialLiteracy #BudgetingHack #StartEmYoung

The issuers of these securities may be an affiliate of Public, and Public (or an affiliate) may earn fees when you purchase or sell Alternative Assets. For more information on risks and conflicts of interest, see these disclosures. An affiliate of Public may be “testing the waters” and considering making an offering of securities under Tier 2 of Regulation A. Treasuries.
U.S. Treasuries (“T-Bill“) investing services on the Public Platform are offered by Jiko Securities, Inc. (“JSI”), a registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA & SIPC. See JSI’s FINRA BrokerCheck and Form CRS for further information. When you enable T-Bill investing on the Public platform, you open a separate brokerage account with JSI (the “Treasury Account“).

JSI uses funds from your Treasury Account to purchase T-bills in increments of $100 “par value” (the T-bill’s value at maturity). T-bills are purchased at a discount to the par value and the T-bill’s yield represents the difference in price between the “par value” and the “discount price.” Aggregate funds in your Treasury Account in excess of the T-bill purchases will remain in your Treasury Account as cash. The value of T-bills fluctuate and investors may receive more or less than their original investments if sold prior to maturity. T-bills are subject to price change and availability - yield is subject to change. Past performance is not indicative of future performance. Investments in T-bills involve a variety of risks, including credit risk, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk. As a general rule, the price of a T-bills moves inversely to changes in interest rates. See Jiko U.S. Treasuries Risk Disclosures for further details.

Investments in T-bills: Not FDIC Insured; No Bank Guarantee; May Lose Value.

Banking services and bank accounts are offered by Jiko Bank, a division of Mid-Central National Bank, Member FDIC.
