Did you do any online shopping over Thanksgiving weekend? According to data from Adobe Analytics, consumers spent $35.4 billion online over the five days stretching from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday. Monday alone "hit a record $11.3 billion, a 5.3 percent jump from last year, while online Black Friday sales ticked up 2.3 percent to $9.12 billion." Online shoppers were also active on "Thanksgiving and the weekend, with sales hitting $5.3 billion on Thursday and a combined $9.6 billion on Saturday and Sunday." Their data also indicated that "more people than ever shopped on their phones this year... accounting for 55 percent of online sales." Reportedly, the figures are not adjusted for inflation, which could suggest "consumers could be spending more for less." #ThanksgivingWeekend #BlackFriday #CyberMonday #OnlineShopping Sources: *Open To The Public Investing is a member of FINRA and SIPC.
