It looks like the right shoulder of a #headandshoulders pattern is forming on the $SPY , so I’m hoping to ride $UPRO up until the peak of that shoulder and then ride $SPXU on the way down after that. Also, it’ll be interesting to see how this movement coincides with upcoming catalysts, such as the August CPI report next week and the FOMC meeting later this month. With September typically being a bad month for the markets and the expectation of continued Fed #ratehikes , I’m expecting more #pain – though I don’t really think we’ll see new lows for 2022. But perhaps we’ll get good news and both the pattern setup and historical trend will be invalidated. (I also don’t really know all that much about this! I’m definitely still #learning .) #shortterm #bullish #mediumterm #bearish #technicalanalysis #macroeconomics #volatility #thetrendisyourfriend #toomanyhashtags

If you ask me, with this being Non-Farm Payroll ( #NFP ) data-statistics release week, I am most certain that price will most likely continue ranging/consolidating/accumulating over the rest of the day today and tomorrow. Then, once the data is released (on Friday, September 2, 2022 @ 6:30am ET) I feel like we'll see the #DXY (US Dollar Currency Index) begin to pullback hard, driving cryptocurrenci…See more

$SPY (SPX500/USD) πŸ‘€ - 🚨Market Update: 08/31/2022 🚨 πŸ’Ž Price has reached the #GoldenZone (range of $4,024.4 to $3,953.30). πŸ’Ž Wave (c), in black, at least from a rules based approach can technically be considered complete unless price reverses and closes below the most recent low at $3,962.4. πŸ’Ž If this happens, then I would be expecting a …See more

πŸ“š Interesting Fact! Re: S&P 500 CFDs and ETFs πŸ“š πŸ’Ž From my posts, you see me reference the chart of #SPX500USD a lot, however do you actually know what this is? πŸ’Ž Have you noticed that you cannot trade #SPX500USD or invest in this on #Public ? πŸ’Ž Is #SPX500USD the same as the SPDR S&P 500 trust ( $SPY ), that’s the question I will be answering. πŸ’Ž Both of these #financialassets have two things in common. Their commonality lies in the fact that they both #track the performance of the S&P 500 Stock Market index and that ownership is #NOT taken of them. However, there are a few key fundamental differences that exist between the two: πŸ’Ž #SPX500USD – Is a Contract for Differences ( #CFD ), meaning that is allows you trade and profit from the price movements in any direction, as to whether you think the price of the underlying asset or security (such as the S&P 500) will rise or fall. These are traded over-the-counter ( #OTC ) through a network of brokers, not on major #exchanges like the #NYSE . You do not take ownership of the underlying asset, however you do pay the broker the #spread-the difference between the ask and bid price, as well as the #swap-interest charged for holding the position past the end of the trading day. CFDs are traded on margin, meaning the broker allows you borrow money to leverage or increase the size of the position(s) you are trading similar to trading in the Foreign Exchange Market ( #Forex ), plus they allow you to take long (buy) or short (sell) positions, without the short-selling rules. Thus, it can be shorted at any time. πŸ’Ž $SPY (SPDR S&P 500 trust) – Is an exchange-traded fund ( #eft ) traded on the #NYSE. It is a marketable security, meaning it has a share price that allows it to be easily bought and sold on exchanges throughout the day. πŸ’Ž Personally, I trade #SPX500USD because of the leverage (margin), ability to amply increase gains (or losses) and trade during the same hours as the #Forex (24/5). On the flip side, I invest in $SPY because of the #dividends and the cost-effectiveness. #dca is easy if you're holding for slow stable #growth . A little bit at a time is really the only way to make gains. Monday through Friday I put in orders on 20 assets mid day through market hours and another right before the market closes. You'll start to realize it's much less stressful than trying your hand at #technicalanalysis …See more

Also, while I'm sharing, I'm using the free version of TradingView now which limits you to only 3 indicators, so you've probably seen these guys a lot in my screenshots: https://www.tradingview.com/x/B1G5glh8/ The top one has basically every overlay indicator I use all combined into one. It has several moving averages, bollinger bands, VWAP and its bands, a volume profiler, a momentum indicator, a…See more
